China’s Shipment Efficiency Assessment identifies new digital tools to reduce costs, expand global trade and create millions of jobs

The China Shipment and Trade Efficiency Assessment (SEA) report was completed during a review session held on December 3, 2017, in Beijing, China.

The China SEA report was reviewed by trade experts including Professor TU Xinquan, University of International Business and Economics, Professor Xia Youfu, University of International Business and Economics, Mr. Li Gang, Vice President Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation, Mr. Eric Lu, t Chairman of Jumore, Mr. Huang Jun, Secretary General China’s Top 500 Foreign Trade Enterprises Club, and Mr. Li Qianqian, Director of International Cooperation at the Development Research Center of State Council of China.

The China SEA was performed in cooperation with GCEL and is a comprehensive diagnostic assessment of trade efficiency based on what technology makes possible today.

The SEA results revealed that 96.3 percent of businesses in China have defined the new digital tools required to increase their global competitiveness in order to reduce annual international and domestic trade costs by USD 828 billion, increase their trade by USD 941 billion, and create more than 44 million jobs.
